POB is amazing!My son entered Bernards Township School District as an 8th grader after growing up in Japan attending Japanese schools. One of my favorite things about my school is our music program.
The reason my parents won’t move until I graduate is because of the many music programs they offer. My peers are well versed, spirited, fun to be with and diverse. The district also puts in great effort into sports each year. #3 Best School Districts in New York City … The course offerings and AP electives were plentiful and most of my professors were great.Overall amazing teachers. There is a limit on how much they will push the kids which is good because students need to learn to be responsible. It is a super diverse school, as we have people from all over the world, some from China, Russia, and even Jamaica. Glad I went here!Almost all of the teachers I had over the four years were incredible. My teachers were incredible, helping me when I needed them, and prepared me for whatever lies ahead!York Prep is a special school. Hewlett is very close to Manhattan as well as close to JFK airport. Let me just say that everything is amazing in these schools. It adopts good safety policies and make sure the students has a safe place for learning. The clubs are average and the administration makes it very hard to open a club.This school is very good at preparing your child for college. Lastly, I love the schools’ environments, as they all have such a positive and supporting environment and help each student get through every day. There’s really something for everyone.

I was a member of the marching band, the GSA, the Astronomy Club, and VEDDA. In high school, many students are stressed out and resort to cheating. However, parents expect for their kids to be the best and there is a toxic competitive culture. The resources are excellent. I’ve been a student at Syosset Central School District since kindergarten, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Aside from that, another amazing thing that I value so much is the safety of our school. The teachers are incredibly well educated and dedicate so much for their students. As a result of these aspects of the district, I would highly recommend any Great Neck Public School for any family that is look for a new place to send their kids to school!The school has an excellent rating for several reasons.
Pittsford Central School District (Pittsford, Monroe County) Students: 5,667. I have never ever felt in danger when I am in school and that is one of my favorite things! It is a program that teaches K-5 students spanish so that they could take the AP exam in 10th grade. Most of the teachers I had were excellent and allowed me to push myself academically in order to prepare myself for college. As a result of these aspects of the district, I would highly recommend any Great Neck Public School for any family that is look for a new place to send their kids to school!The school has an excellent rating for several reasons. The teachers are incredibly well educated and dedicate so much for their students. Additionally, it is very obvious that safety is important to the district! They often still succeed, but they feel the need to sacrifice their integrity to accomplish the goals they feel pressured to complete by the community. For kindergarten, I went to Parkville, for elementary school I went to E.M. Baker, for middle school I went to Great Neck North Middle School, and for high school I have been in Great Neck North High School. I would like to see them add that to the list of extra-curricular activities. They all want to see their students succeed. Although the dedication for sports is incredible, there is not enough dedication towards the music department and I believe that is something the district could put more work into.Just right - not too small. Very interested and involved with the students. Scarsdale High has had the highest levels of academic achievement in the country. In the middle of the day instead of lunch we have FLEX which works the same as a free but you can go see teachers to study or catch up on school work which I've found really helpful. The teachers here acually care about students and their success during and after High School.
The diversity of Byram hills is very poor.I think Byram hills can improve its diversity. The food is great, especially the paninis! The staff and guidance counseler are super sweet! Lots of AP and dual enrollment courses are offered to juniors and seniors so you can get a leg up on college courses. There were plenty of AP & honors opportunities to prepare us extremely well for college.
It’s difficult not to take advantage of the myriad opportunities Syosset schools offer. The students can usually get help from them before or after school on their scheduled days.In addition, the students are exposed to a new foreign language every year starting in kindergarten so they can find their interest at a young age.Last but the least, there are a variety of sports that the students can participate.
