What a phenomenal meal This was! It was very quiet in this room and I'm thinking they didn't want to put a child back there as if she would be disruptive. Not coming back, especially not on a Sunday.This is a bit of a drive from where we live but we're happy to drive a bit out of the way for a good dinner. In the past, I've had decent food here. But I wasn't leaving the desk without one. We came in on a Saturday night the service was good and the food great! This last time, the experience was decent. Our team shares a love of great food and giving genuine, warm and welcoming hospitality to all our guests. Treat yourself!Gotta say, sadly, that since John & Maura sold this place it's gone so far downhill in the service department that it's almost criminal. However, tonight was horrible. I did make a reservation in advance through their website, and I stated that our party of 2 wanted outdoor seating, weather permitting. The food was good but I will never go back. When we arrived we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait. Then we tried to order dinner... less patience. My mind is blown. Our server (who was also the bartender - so slow) informed us about the time that we were expecting our mains that there was also no salmon left that I had ordered. I asked the hostess, if we were getting seated next. Everything was delicious and plentiful. A large variety of food on each Gluten-free, Vegetarian, no Dairy, and no Shellfish.

Had to send out the posse for our waiter! The food is still good. After over an hour & watching people who arrived after us, get seated before us, I was pretty agitated. The fish and chips came out cold. The environment is nice, clean. Either way, there were seats open and they were not seating people. My only beef about the food now is that, instead of 7 bacon-wrapped scallop lollipops for $18, you get 3 for $24...I guess you have to pay for M&A somehow, but the new owners haven't seemed to have wrapped their heads around the prices in the Southland of the Chicago MSA versus Lincoln Park yet.A solid choice if you're in the Wilmington, Coal City or Goose Lake region and are looking for quality eats. Chill. Strike two.

The answer is: Not very (except maybe for the kiddies who've grown up in Braidwood). But I wasn't leaving the desk without one. Sorry for the delayed response! Cost $150 for two people (approx.) 6 raw oysters, Crab Louie salad and Big Fish Sandwich with fries. Nope. First time here . Servers all were wearing masks and everyone was very nice.
For our main course we had the Alaskan king crab legs which was 1lb and a 1/2 and my husband had the 16 oz bone in Kansas City steak special. I also had the crab cakes and they really were great!We had an excellent dinner here.
I will preface what I have to say with a little background to paint the whole picture. Food was fresh, beautiful, and delicious!They have special menus in addition to there regular offerings.
We walked in around 12:30 for lunch and started reading the chalkboard menu. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie and the carrot cake, which is HUGE!
