I have a dd who is nearly 4 weeks old. It's just people always tend to shorten things to one syllable in conversations. It is unfamiliar in the United States, and therefore quite unique!This name has never reached a Top 1000 postion on the American female naming charts.
We have named our lovely little girl Cerys louise. I am worried about it being shortened to Ceri or Ces (no offence meant, just not what I thought my daughter would be called).
I love Carys and if there was even the remotest most distant shred of Welsh in our family it would be DC3s name.
