It is written so truthfully with such an acute ear for language and dialogue that it is acutely beautiful and makes you laugh out loud just to have read it. this book is wonderful in a lot of ways. The style of narration works really well with the older Mattie telling the story of how she set out to avenge her father's murder when she was just fourteen.
