DOHA, July 27 — Qatar will seek to host the 2032 Olympic Games, it said on Monday, joining a crowded field and raising questions about scorching summer temperatures and underwhelming attendances at past events.
Many sporting events around the world have been postponed or cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, which are now taking place in 2021.
But Qatar hasn't had the same luck with the Olympics.
