the beyond movie review

February 9, 2006

Indicates that there are extreme consequences to upsetting the "balance of nature." I just couldn't take it seriously, whether it was intentional or not, the script was a mess and laughable and the scares weren't effective enough as they could have been. The gore scenes do stretch way too long in some instances, especially the tarantula scene, and the characters are no good, but everything else made this film a classic cult film. Filmmaker Johansen has created very engaging characters. Magnificent movie with scary creatures and a strong heroine. Binge Central

His mother and father are models of loving parenting.A heroic young bunny and other characters face danger in many scenes. Senseless and plotless horror pic, that's filled with a series of tableaux gimmicky sadistic gore.

The make up and special effects were the best I've seen, the acid pouring scene for example, was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen.

What dramatic advantages are there to such a story? Why do you think this is such a popular concept? The acting was mostly just horrid to me, with overreaction to not enough reaction to what is happening around them. September 6, 2008 It stars Richard J. Danum and Gillian MacGregor as a married couple who attempt to make their relationship work during the approach of a potentially catastrophic asteroid. Raising the dead via curse, and using a doorway to hell under the hotel was an interesting expansion of zombie lore up to that point, and further raises questions such as: Why do only some people get raised in the beginning but at the end all corpses rise? The other standout was Cinzia Moreale (as Sarah Keller) who plays a blind woman pretty effectively, who comes out of nowhere into Liza's life to warns her about the sinister hotel. Visit the page to bypass this warning and read the review. Exposition is tirelessly thrown in to explain why things are happening nowadays.

To me his best and creepiest film is The House By The Cemetery.

Help Your Family De-Stress During Coronavirus UncertaintyHow to Help Kids Sort Fact from Fiction About the Coronavirus | | Drama, Set in rural Louisiana, a woman who inherits a hotel that contains the gates of hell, as she renovates it, the gates are once again open, all hell breaks loose. January 13, 2020 The late Italian/horror director Lucio Fulci definitely made strange, one of a kind horror films.
5.5 out of 10 And what happens when even that system is erased? Does it have anything to do with the ending, which it seems to emulate? For a film that doesn't have much plot, and dives between characters without building them up to take the blows, there's a lot that remains memorable and entertaining about this Lucio Fulci classic. |

Fulci's signature grand-gugnal gore drips in almost every scene. A young woman inherits an old hotel in Louisiana where, following a series of supernatural "accidents", she learns that the building was built over one of the entrances to Hell. Book-based animated tale has intense peril, violence. After observing an anomaly in space, scientists transplant human brains in to synthetic bodies and send them through the wormhole. | Rating: C It can be amusing for those who love gore and fun special effects, but Fulci must have been completely stoned when he made this ridiculous movie that doesn't make any sense at all (who cares about plot, right?) Common Sense is a nonprofit organization. Lucio goes wild here though, with a hypnotic, nightmarish atmosphere, intense close up shots of ghoulish imagery that will stay with you.

While reviewers complain about dialogue and plot, Fulci does his best work in nauseous moods and textures

The very thesis here is that viewing life as more than a linear path from birth to death - no matter how joyous or sad - is just a more comfortable form of entropy. With Jane Perry, Nigel Barber, Noeleen Comiskey, Ezra Faroque Khan. Definitely one of the most disappointing Italian/horror cult classics out there.
