Born on April 3, 1989, Thisara Perera is amongst the new generation of attacking allrounders from Sri Lanka. The left-handed batsman came to the middle when the visitors were down 7 wickets for 128. But the main issue for his non selection in the T20 and ODI teams was the inconsistency & poor form in his batting as well as bowling.
In the first ODI of the series they bundled India out on 112 runs and ended their 12-match losing streak but eventually, they lost the series by 1-2.
