In the wake of the racist killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, I am reaching out to reaffirm that the School of Art at Carnegie Mellon University is a community empowered by our differences and diversity. Founded in 1989 within the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), the STUDIO serves as a locus for hybrid enterprises on the CMU campus, the Pittsburgh region, and internationally. Highly talented faculty and undergraduate students are drawn here to study at our top-ranked departments in the College of Engineering, the College of Fine Arts, the Dietrich College of Humanities & Social Sciences, the Mellon College of Science, the School of Computer Science, and the Tepper School of Business.

A national search to find Martin’s successor will be announced later this fall, with the goal of naming the new dean by fall of 2020. Master of Arts Management (MAM) Arts and cultural institutions need leaders who are as passionate as the artists and audiences they support. As a student in any CAM program – from undergraduate minors through master's degree programs – you'll learn in an interactive environment, gaining valuable practical experience and knowledge of the latest technology and methods used in your chosen career. The arts, design and architecture were an essential part of Andrew Carnegie’s founding vision for this institution. The program trains students to seek evidence-based solutions to problems facing the arts and cultural sector as well as associated arts education and advocacy organizations, heritage organizations, and related fields. Dan Martin has decided to step down as dean of CMU’s College of Fine Arts (CFA), and will return to the faculty in the School of Drama. A Unique Experience.
